God Picks The Most Beautiful Flowers First

Flowers in the Bible

A Symbol of Beauty and God's Creation

Flowers hold a special place in the Bible

From the beginning of creation when God planted a garden in Eden filled with an array of beautiful flowers mentioned in scripture such as lilies, roses, and myrrh, to the parables of Jesus where he spoke of the beauty of wildflowers in the fields, flowers have been used to symbolize the beauty and wonder of God's creation.

In the Song of Solomon, flowers are used to describe the beauty of the bride illustrating the love and affection between God and his people. Similarly, in the book of Revelation, flowers are used as a symbol of the heavenly city, New Jerusalem, that is described as a place of beauty and joy.

A Reminder of God's Love and Provision

Flowers also serve as a reminder of God's love and provision for his people. In the book of Psalms, the psalmist writes, "He makes grass grow for the cattle, and herbs for the service of man, that he may bring forth food from the earth" (Psalm 104:14).

By providing flowers, God shows his care and concern for the needs of all living creatures. Flowers provide food and shelter for insects and animals, and their beauty brings joy and inspiration to people around the world.

A Symbol of Hope and Renewal

In addition to their beauty and symbolism, they also represent hope and renewal. In the book of Isaiah, the prophet writes, "The desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose" (Isaiah 35:1). This verse speaks of the hope of restoration and renewal that is found in God.

Just as flowers bloom after a long winter, God can bring new life and hope even in the darkest of times. Flowers remind us that there is always hope for a brighter future and encourage us to trust in God's promises.

Conclusion

Flowers are a beautiful and meaningful part of God's creation that speak to us of his love, provision, and hope.

As we enjoy the beauty of flowers, may we be reminded of the beauty and wonder of God's creation and the hope that we have in him.
